The boys try to keep it light but get pulled into 3 or 4 rabbit holes related to giving effort, meaning what you say, laying a solid foundation and not chasing shiny things.

~45:20- You gotta do the work. It’s about consistency and not going to the sexiest movement possible.

Yesterday we had a small group nutrition talk after our awesome First Saturday event and I wanted to pass along the main points that the group dicussed.
I. Keep it simple: Lean meat and vegetables is the foundation of all our meals. Then we add a bit of fruit and some carby veggies (squash and potatoes, maybe rice). We drink water or tea and we love life.
II. It took work to get where you are. Respect that work it will take to get you where you want to be.
III. Write it down Past and Future

Mike Martin walked in our doors past halfway through his 50s and he has not looked back. We talk about what it was like starting a program as a non-typical athlete, why he took to the nutrition foundation so quickly, the communities impact on mental health, and the goals he has set for the near future.
